Pemba has more natural forests, plantations, and grows more cloves than her sister island Unguja. It also has a wealth of natural resources including beaches, mangrove ecosystems and natural forests. Pemba is not as developed as the larger main island and features only three tourist standard resorts. However, the coral reefs surrounding the island protect a massive amount of marine species creating one of the best places in the world for diving and snorkeling.
